Civiora

Data protection

Version of 04.08.2026 — drawn up under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, SR 235.1).

The essentials

  • Civiora requires no account. Simply browsing the site collects no personal data; only the optional newsletter subscription collects an email address (see the Newsletter section below).
  • Civiora uses no tracking cookies, no trackers and no third-party analytics — which is why no banner is shown. Only the bot-protection widget of the subscription form may set a strictly technical cookie, at the moment you use that form.
  • All resources (fonts, scripts, images, data) are served by the site itself. The only exception is the Cloudflare Turnstile bot-protection widget, loaded only on first contact with the newsletter subscription form.
  • The data displayed about municipalities consists of aggregated official statistics, containing no personal data.

Controller

Naram Hasan — Civiora, Avenue de Rumine 19b, 1005 Lausanne, Switzerland (see the legal notice).

Technical logs (server logs)

As with any website, the hosting provider records technical logs when pages are accessed: IP address, date and time, requested resource, user agent. This data is used exclusively for operation, security and defence against abuse. It is kept for the host's usual log retention period, then deleted; it is neither cross-referenced with other data nor used for profiling purposes.

Hosting and processors

The site is hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva. The hosting provider is therefore the recipient of the technical logs described above.

Delivery and protection of the site go through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, United States. All traffic passes through its servers, which handle caching, connection encryption and attack filtering; Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical metadata of the request in doing so. The same network provides the Turnstile anti-bot widget on the sign-up form.

Both providers act as processors, on the publisher’s instructions and without using the data for their own purposes. Using Cloudflare entails processing outside Switzerland, in particular in the United States, on the basis of appropriate contractual safeguards. There are no other recipients, apart from the advertising platforms named in the Newsletter section and only for people who have signed up.

Your rights

You may request access to data concerning you, its rectification or its erasure (art. 25 ff. FADP) at the contact address in the legal notice. Supervisory authority: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Bern.

Newsletter

This section concerns only people who subscribe to the newsletter, and only the email address they provide on that occasion. Simply browsing the site triggers none of the uses described here.

By ticking the subscription box, you agree that your address may be used for the newsletter and for advertising communications in the housing, real-estate, insurance, financial-services, health and nutrition sectors, aimed at the Swiss market, including retargeting: the address may be transmitted in hashed, non-reversible form to advertising platforms to build audiences or exclude people from them. These platforms may process the data outside Switzerland, under appropriate contractual safeguards. The address is never sold.

No sensitive data is collected, inferred or used for this targeting. Addresses are kept on the publisher’s server, outside the web root, until you unsubscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time, via the unsubscribe link in every mailing or on simple request to the contact address in the legal notice: this ends all these uses and deletes the address.

Subscription is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), loaded only when you touch the form; Cloudflare processes technical data (IP address) on that occasion, where applicable outside Switzerland, under appropriate safeguards.
